Will Clyburn is living his first days in Barcelona. He is adapting to the city and also to the team. In the first week of preseason, in Encamp, he attended the Club's media to explain his feelings: “There is a lot of atmosphere within the team”, he says. As an experienced player and 2019 EuroLeague MVP, Clyburn can bring a lot of experience to the team and express calmness in complicated moments, like he did with a spectacular triple in the last minute of the friendly match in Encamp against Paris Basketball (91-90). “I have worked very hard this summer and now I feel very well and ready to start the season”, he confesses, highlighting that he comes to Barcelona to win and, above all, to help the team. “I wouldn't define myself as a vocal leader, but as a kid who tries to set an example”. “I want to win and I'm willing to sacrifice whatever it takes to do it”. And he insists: “I don't know what role I'll have within the team, but I can say that I'm an experienced player and a leader who will try to help my teammates and the team. I haven't come to behave like the star of the team, I want to help everyone. I want to bring my energy, my spirit and my game”. ## The bond with Toko Shengelia In the locker room, Clyburn will coincide with a great friend like Toko Shengelia. They shared the locker room in CSKA (2020/22) and in Virtus Bologna (2024/25). And now they will do it in Palau Blaugrana. And this is how he describes the Georgian: “Toko's leadership and mental strength help any team. And I'm not just talking about basketball. As a person, he can bring light to any situation that presents itself to us”.
