Juan Nunez has been working on his recovery for over four months. The point guard from FC Barcelona underwent a right knee arthroscopy on October 1st, with an estimated recovery time of six months. This means he won't be back on the court until April. He had to start from scratch, just like he did during the second half of the 25/26 season. Since October and up until this week, Juan Nunez has been working daily at the FC Barcelona medical center located in the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper. There, accompanied by professionals from the Club and other athletes with long-term injuries, he has been doing a constant job that will now continue at the Palau Blaugrana. ## A step forward Nunez is now taking a step forward in his recovery, combining intense gym work with progressive activity on the court and regaining touch with the ball. All this work is supervised at all times by the medical professionals of the first team basketball. ## Friendly in Encamp The '17' barcelonista started this course with the team and was able to play the friendly in Encamp against Paris Basketball. But after these first days of work, he presented an inflammatory reaction in his right knee, operated on March 11th, 2025. ## First season with 50 games This injury has prevented Juan Nunez from starting his second season with the Barça in good health and normality. In the first season, he played a half-century of games: 25 games in the Euroliga (5 points and 7.4 valuation) and 20 in the ACB (5.1 points and 7.6 valuation), in addition to the commitments of the Cup, Supercup and Liga Catalana. Nunez continues immersed in the recovery process of his injury and continues working with intensity in the facilities of the Ciudad Deportiva Joan Gamper. The young point guard of FC Barcelona is carrying out gym work and court work with the goal of recovering and returning to the courts in the best possible conditions. The point guard underwent an arthroscopy in March to treat a rupture of the external meniscus of the right knee, which has kept him away from competition since then. With this injury, the player ended his first season as a blue, in which he played 25 games in the Euroliga (5 points and 7.4 valuation) and 20 in the ACB (5.1 points and 7.6 valuation).
